1234 and Call Connect Priority Listing options

Geographic coverage
Purchasing the appropriate level of geographic coverage can give your business premium coverage in the suburbs you service. You can choose from coverage:

  • In your business location and surrounding suburbs;
  • To include every suburb you service;
  • For all metropolitan suburbs; and
  • Australia-wide if you operate nationally.
Keyword coverage
You can choose up to 50 keywords to describe your business 3. For example, a florist may select ‘lotus bud’ and ‘Valentines’ as keywords. So, when customers call 1234 and Call Connect and mention your selected keywords, this will help your listing appear among the top of those search results for those keywords.

Promotional SMS messages
A Priority Listing gets your business details into your customers’ hands. In addition to your business name and number, promotional text messages can be sent by SMS to mobile callers upon connection.

Promote special offers, savings, events or other benefits via SMS Promo Text on 1234 and Call Connect.
Up to 115 characters can be sent, and the message can be stored in your customer’s phone for future reference 4. And depending on your level of coverage, you can change your SMS promotional text up to 24 times within a contract year 5. (Local coverage: 4 changes, Metro coverage: 12 changes, National coverage: 24 changes.)

3 Selection of keywords is subject to the 1234 and Call Connect business rules. Sensis reserves the right to refuse or remove keywords that are misleading, irrelevant or inappropriate.
4 Requires SMS capable handset. Promotional text is only available to 1234 and Call Connect Priority Listing customers. Maximum of 115 characters.
5 Sensis will endeavour to process changes within 3 business days of receiving a correctly formatted change request, and ensure that SMS Promo Text is deactivated within one business day of the requested date. Changes will be typically made at around midnight.

Monitor how your Priority Listing is going
With a 1234 and Call Connect Priority Listing, you’ll have access to a range of useful reports to measure the number of customers 1234 and Call Connect is delivering you, such as:

  • Referrals from customers who knew your name but not your number;
  • Customers referred to you based on your business type, coverage area and selected keywords; and
  • The number of your SMS promotional messages sent to customers.
