In today’s landscape, digital advertising needs to be relevant, or it runs the risk of being completely redundant. Consumers are spoiled for choice and they’re seeking out particular information. In the case of local search advertising, they are almost always actively pulling in information to help them make a purchase. At a particular moment in time, consumers are going to make a decision about that purchase. General Manager, Online Directories & Search and Sensis Interactive, Chris Smith explored some of the ways that advertisers can capitalise on this moment in time and discussed the role that location-based technology, such as map-based business search on internet and mobiles, can play in this.
